Stone And District Swimming Club
To Stone And District Swimming Club
We are a club run by volunteers that emphasises the teaching and practice of swimming to all ages in a fun and enjoyable way. Most of our staff hold ASA Level 1 or 2 swimming teaching qualifications.
The Club is based at Alleyne’s High Sports Centre, Oulton Road, Stone and our sessions are on Saturday morning and Monday evening. See our ‘Information’ section for further details about how we operate.
If you or your child are looking to join the Club, please ring Jean Brough our Membership Secretary on (01785) 813175.
We are particularly looking to encourage more adult swimmers to our Monday 8pm to 9pm session where you can swim at your leisure or improve your fitness and stroke technique under the supervision of some of our teachers.
If you are able to help out on the poolside or behind the scenes in another role, please do not hesitate to get in touch!
We follow the ASA National Plan for swimming. If you have any experience of teaching swimming to advanced, intermediate, or beginners, or you have an interest in swimming and would perhaps like to receive partially-funded ASA Level 1 training to support our swimmers, please do not hesitate to get in touch via the Club website or come along to talk to one of our volunteers on a Monday evening (6.30pm to 8.00pm) or Saturday morning (8.30am to 10.15am).
We have a passion for swimming but ensure that our members have fun and enjoy their learning.
Why not give it a go and join our group of volunteers?
